Movember - Ranking the Execs Moustaches

Movember has come to an end, and over the past month LUES managed to raise a total of £745 for charity in support of men’s mental and physical health. From the Exec we want to say thank you to all the lads who grew a moustache and/or raised money for Movember this year. We also want to give a special thank you to Jaimin and Harry for raising over half of the LUES Movember teams’ funds.

Six members of the exec team decided to grow out (or try to) their moustaches since the start of November, and I am going to rank them from best to worst.

1. Ben

It was a close decision for the number one spot, but this goes to Ben. The moustache looks like it belongs on the top lip on a Sheriff, therefore is undeniably a brilliant moustache. Well done.

2. Jaimin

Again another great moustache, bonus points for the smile in the photo. I think this moustache should be kept; it will be a shame for it to be shaved off now Movember is over.

From here on, things take a turn for the worst. The rest of us grow facial hair at the same rate as an average 15-year-old, but here goes.

3. George

At this point I am picking the best of a bad bunch. Maybe in a year or two there is some potential for a real moustache.

4. Samuel (Myself)

I may be a little biased here, but I get 4th place. Its not a great moustache but its more than I expected, not bad but also not good.

5. Zac

Now we are getting to see a real lack of a moustache. I can recall seeing better moustaches from boys in secondary school . I will point out that this is not a full month of growth so I will give the benefit of the doubt and not put Zac in last place.

6. Josh

In last place comes our society’s president. I will leave you to be the judge of this one.

Unfortunately, Harry didn’t make it onto this list, but I would like to mention that he made a special effort for Movember by running 34 kilometers in Lancaster weather as his contribution to the team.
