Placement & Graduate Career Fair

careersfair23.jpg

On March 15th, we proudly hosted our very own Placement and Graduate Careers Fair - an event designed by students, for students.

This careers fair provided a unique platform where students could explore a multitude of graduate and placement opportunities from a wide range of companies. Directly from their peers, students got an engaging, informative environment where they could network, learn, and lay the groundwork for their future.

Charity Week 2023

In week 9 we held our first charity week, consisting of our annual winter charity ball and charity football match.

Thank you to Lancaster House Hotel for hosting the event and all the effort put into it, everyone had a great time!

Our second event was the charity football match against County College. Despite the rainy weather everyone gave 100% and was a great success. Thank you to everyone who organised and took part in the event.

Combining these two events, we have raised £506 to donate to Turn2us which we are very proud of.

Movember 2023

movember2023.jpeg

This year, the economics society took part in Movember, we even got some lecturers and tutors involved!

For Movember, men around the world grow a moustache to all to raise awareness and funds for men's health - specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

As the 1st of December came to a close, the Economics society said goodbye to their moustaches. We smashed our target of £100 by raising £200. Thank you to everyone who took part!
